Dr. Melissa Levin, Dermatology Spotlight: All about needles

November 4, 2019

Advanced treatments are a major trend in our industry, so we are thrilled to have Dr. Melissa Levin, board certified Dermatologist, back with us on this epic podcast talking all things needles. According to Dr. Levin, "there is a huge interest and investment in skin health right now along with new combinations and technology...so it's a great time to age!"

Dr. Levin, stepped out of her busy NY based dermatology practice and called in to chat about microneedling and injectables. In this episode, we first explore microneedling and break down what it is, what skin conditions it’s for and what skin should be avoided. Dr. Levin even sheds some light on those at-home devices and tells us "not all treatments are created equal,” and they should always be performed by an expertly trained professional. She gives us great advice on how to prepare for the treatment and ways to keep up the good work with key ingredients. We add in some time to discuss another popular service –injectables, including neuromodulators and fillers. She offers amazing information about doing your research and partnering with your provider so that you both can stay safe and get the best results. This episode will truly leave you feeling empowered and educated as Dr. Levin is a major inspiration to all professionals and a thought leader in the industry and in women's entrepreneurship. Be sure to check out her other Living Skin podcast with us on sensitive skin!
